About Us
TransFerre Inc. provides translation services for three language pairs: English/Japanese, English/Chinese and Chinese/Japanese, which account for approximately 45% of the world GDP (IMF data, 2018). Our company name comes from the etymology of the English word “Translate”, which derives from Trans (“across”) + Ferre (“to carry”). Headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, the corporation was founded in 2022 by Hiroto Matsushima, a certified translator (English into Japanese) of American Translators Association (ATA) and Society of Translators and Interpreters of British Columbia (STIBC), and a qualified member of Institute of Translation and Interpreting (MITI).
Mission:
We aim to enhance mutual understanding among people with different linguistic and cultural backgrounds by accurately “TransFerreing” the meaning of source texts.
Vision:
To become an industry leader by providing translations that reach the audience and faithfully transfer the meanings.
Value:
“Unity of Knowing and Acting”
This doctrine is advocated by Wang Yangming (1472–1529), one of the most famous Chinese Neo–Confucian philosophers: “There never have been people who know but do not act. Those who ‘know’ but do not act simply do not yet know“.
